Ensures customers satisfaction through the provision and maintenance of day to day, high quality and uninterrupted information services, and systems within the division of Imaging Services. Analyzes, trouble shoots and resolves imaging service network, systems, and related component problems at both Northlake and Southlake campuses, as well as other offsite Methodist facilities. This position requires excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written and the ability tow provide support 24/7. This will include some after hours and weekend assignments based on project demands.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Ensures the integrity and reliability of all imaging systems by assessing and resolving hardware and software problems, encompassing the hospital infrastructure, client-servers, and stand-alone systems. Special emphasis to calls arising on evenings, nights, and/or weekends, in order to minimize any system downtime and maintain needed system utilization. Some of the software such as: EPIC, Deision Support, Powersribe, Viewpoint, Sonultra, Philips PACS, Powershare-Develop workflows and train staff, Excelera and other integrations throughout hospital, ACR assistance with manager for ACR accreditation, Maintaining reading workstations for radiologist, Setup all dicom modalities, Nexodose -PACS health for dose and contrast, CRA and Penrad.
Evaluates and recommends system hardware and software replacements and upgrades, both on an assigned project as well as on "as observed" basis. Working closely with vendors, and attaining quotes and invoices when identifying future needs. Responsible for recommending and presenting budget requests for medical imaging and applications.
Maintains accurate and adequate inventory levels of supplies and parts, including all necessary and related record keeping of usage, orders, and replacements.
Maintains an up-to-date understanding of the overall structure, interrelatedness, and operations of the hospital infrastructure, remote users, LANS, stand-alone systems and personal computers. This is essential in order to provide complete and timely services to customers, especially in critical off-hours. Ensures all department, hospital, and Joint Commission guidelines are met for operation.
Maintains complete and accurate records, in accordance with the imaging service's policies and procedures, of all requests for assistance and all other project completions.
Provides emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance to all system hardware components. Immediate efforts to emergency or unexpected breakdowns that present a system (or key component thereof) slowdown or halt.
Repairs imaging services system hardware including personal computers, printers, data communication equipment, related wiring and peripherals.
Represents imaging services both within and outside the hospital for all system related activities as assigned by the Director. Assists in establishing continuing education on all system functions for imaging services and other hospital personnel as needed.
Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Job Specific (minimum Requirements)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Eletronics is Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is Preferred
Associate's Degree in Radiology is Preferred
Experience
1 year of Infornation Technology is Required
5 years of Healthcare/Medical - Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) is Preferred
Experience Requirements include reporting schedules, ofice procedures, processing and reporting workflow
