Overview

Assists the Lab-IS-Data Specialist in maintaining and managing the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and, provides necessary technical support to the laboratory staff in troubleshooting any information related issues.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)


  1. Interface Support: Assists in implementing and maintaining all interfaces.

  2. Compliance Monitoring: Assists in monitoring compliance of staff with the Laboratory Information System (LIS) protocols and schedules.

  3. System Operation: Assists the Lab-IS-Data Specialist in maintaining the operation of Laboratory Information System (LIS), Clinical & Anatomic Pathology.
  4. Policies and Procedures: Develops, reviews and updates Laboratory Information System (LIS) protocols and procedures.

  5. Autofax: Revises and updates the operation of the Autofax subsystem.

  6. Troubleshooting: Serves as a resource to troubleshoot any Laboratory Information System (LIS) hardware and software related issues.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent experience with computers.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated positive attitude and professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.



EDUCATION


  • Bachelors Business Administration Required

  • Bachelors Accounting Required

  • Bachelors Allied Health Required

  • Excellent experience with computers

  • 3 Healthcare/Medical - Laboratory Data Analysis Required
