The Executive Director oversees the Foundation’s philanthropy program, which is comprised of a broad range of fundraising activities to support the programs and operations of the Methodist Hospitals. These include, but are not limited to, major gifts from individuals, annual funds, foundation and government grants, corporate sponsorships, donor stewardship activities, and event planning. The Executive Director assures that these activities are designed to meet the hospital’s specific funding needs, operate within the philanthropy industry’s best practice principles, are consistent with the codes of ethical conduct of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Donor Bill of Rights, and operate within legal imperatives related to 501(c)3 not-for-profit governed environments.
The Executive Director partners strongly with the Foundation Board, the Methodist Hospitals President & Chief Executive Officer, and designated executive and clinical teams to leverage fundraising opportunities linked to hospital-level initiatives.

Take a strategic approach to business initiatives, proposals, programs, policy development and issues as they relate to areas including, but not limited to, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, employee training and development, process efficiencies and job evaluation.
