JOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the employee's state of residence, and have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledgeable in the laws of the State of Indiana.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures of the hospital and the security department.
- Requires crisis intervention training to handle hostile behaviors and patient restraint training.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate over a radio and telephone.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to make quick decisions and handle situations with good judgment and common sense.
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and take corrective action, when necessary.
- Ability to remain calm in the presence danger, consistent with controlling violent and hostile behaviors.
EDUCATION- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required
- Prior law enforcement or security experience is preferred.
- 1 Customer Care/Support Required
- Security Preferred
- Public Admin./Gov't/Defense - Police and Sheriff's Patrol Officer Preferred
